Solaris Egypt, operating in solar energy sector, seeks to obtain financing worth EGP 300m to complete the implementation of solar energy projects.

Yassin Abdel Ghaffar, Executive Director of Solaris Egypt, told Daily News Egypt that the company has started negotiations with QNB, Arab African International Bank (AAIB), and AlexBank to finance solar energy stations with different capacities. The company is awaiting the decision of the Electricity Utility and Consumer Protection Regulatory Agency to issue licenses to launch solar energy stations with a total capacity of 25 MW.

He added that the company has implemented many solar power stations for Coca-Cola in Assiut, Sadat, Alexandria and Tanta, as well as inaugurated a solar energy plant for the Arab Cement Company, and is in the process of implementing other projects for Mountain View and Coca-Cola in Qalyubia.
