Egyptian Natural Gas Company (Gasco) signed a supply contract with an unnamed Spanish company for Dahshour compressor stations number 5 and 6, Akhbar el Yom reported on December 10th.
The agreement aims to fulfill the increasing consumption at residential and industrial facilities, as well as the needs of Assiut National Oil Processing Company, the news portal added.
Gasco is an affiliate to Egypt’s Ministry of Petroleum, through which the government is carrying out a development project funded by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
Dahshour compressor station receives natural gas through two gas pipelines connected with El Ameria and El Sadat, while supplying natgas to the rest of Upper Egypt gas pipeline customers, according to Gasco.
